Risk & Opportunities Officer - Contract - Somerset - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Risk & Opportunities Officer to work at a leading consultancy client of ours on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with project teams to identify and process potential risks and opportunities that arise from project plans and from elsewhere within the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Organise and conduct the general review of potential Risks and Opportunities across the organisation
- Develop the Risk and Opportunities registers and the associated summaries, and communicate across project teams
- Periodically consolidate major residual impacts on project planning and costs.
- Contribute to the communication of Risk and Opportunities for internal and customer reporting.
- Obtain Risk and Opportunities analysis validation from the leading Risk manager
- Contribute to the feedback and continuous improvement of Risk and Opportunities tools and methods
Experience required:
- A strong background in Project-based roles, with previous experience of having analysed risks and opportunities
- Experience of producing plans and reports within a project team
- Excellent cross-functional abilities, with exposure to project management, auditing and contracts management
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, and able to engage and interface with key staff across a range of disciplines
- Previous experience of working in a role with international workstreams and project teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous work within the energy/nuclear sector would be highly desirable
- Coming from an engineering-related background would be an advantage but not essential
