The Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business requirements to understand and analyze business goals, create detailed designs, and participate in the overall project to ensure products and systems developed will meet business needs. The BA will work cross-functionally with several teams within the company to ensure all stakeholders are represented. The expertise and work effort primarily focuses on using their business intuition to guide their analysis, as well as work independently or cross-functionally to identify, understand, and solve key customer problems.

Essential Functions
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of business analysis concepts, principles, and techniques to gather, document and manage business requirements.
  • Assist and/or conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions with subject matter experts and development teams to review and document system requirements.
  • Create high-quality requirements documentation within specified time frames to solve business problems.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Technical Leads, Business Subject Matter Experts, and Quality Control to ensure requirements acceptance.
  • Work closely with project managers and lead BA to prepare project plans and deliver status reports related to assigned tasks.
  • Manage requirement changes, ensuring traceability and auditability.
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology related field.
  • 2-3 years of business analysis experience and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle - preferably Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Skills
  • Strong communication including written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and change direction in ever changing environment.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently or within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of payments or merchant services industry is desirable.
Tools
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
Physical Requirements
  • Standard office environment: work typically involves close visual acuity on a computer to access view, read, prepare and analyze data and other written communications.
Travel
  • Up to 10% travel may be required in order to attend training or meetings.
