The Business Consultant (Population Health/IT) is responsible for translating moderately complex and varied business needs into application software requirements. Possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems and business analysis and is able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as a liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application setup and configuration.
  • Analyzes business requirements, write-up of BRD (business requirement documents), coordination with IT resources to deliver upon the solution for those business requirements and coordination around end-user acceptance testing prior to GoLive.
  • Consults with business partners concerning application and implementation of technology.
  • Will serve as a business Project Manager who can represent the business and work in concert with the IT Technical Project Managers.
Requires a BS/BA degree, 5 years of business analysis experience, which should include analysis, project management, hardware and operating systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Any clinical certification (RN, LVN, MA)
  • NextGen Practice Management & EMR experience
  • Knowledge of Allscripts, Epic, or Cerner
