Risk Analytics Manager
$120-140K +bonus

Prestigious Firm is seeking a a Risk Analytics Manager to implements tools and methods of risk evaluation as a member of the Credit Analytics and Reporting team.

Responsibilities:

Manage CAR Big Data Projects- Manages the implementation of new data consumption capabilities to meet CAR business needs in conjuction with Business Owner, Governance, Operations, and IT teams.
Manage data mart/data warehouse business projects and Big Data Projects
Mentor and train staff in the Big Data Tools and Technologies
Ensures requests for new modelling, analytic, dashboarding, and reporting capabilities are addressed in an efficient and effective manner.
Develops and maintains a data consumption strategy inclusive of a multi-year roadmap.
Establish communication plans and organizational processes for all enclave data needs
Develops, modifies, executes and measures company data policies, standards and guidelines which affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effects. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization's operation.
Leads large, strategic, cross-disciplinary business change efforts, often among members of a project team.
Owns one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural "experts" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
Provide timely, relevant, robust analysis to support credit-related business decisions
Have experience manipulating and analysing large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data) using Big Data tools
Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team comprised of IT and Business
Manages the coordination of the activities within the group or department
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
Develops and monitor project plans and performance
Train and mentor junior staff on Big Data tools and technologies
Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems
Present ideas and recommendations to management

Qualifications:

Degree in Statistic, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with 8-10 years related experience
5+ years of data analysis experience, with a combination of business and technical skills
Working knowledge of the business use cases and emerging technologies used in the exploitation of Big Data including Hadoop related tools.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership aptitude and ability to engage others in developing risk management capabilities
Working knowledge of database, data warehouse, data modelling
At least 8 years of data strategy/data warehouse experience and 2+ years of management experience.
Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Current experience with Big Data platforms, tools implementation, ETL process (Structured and unstructured data) function with working knowledge of modelling, analytic, dash boarding, and reporting tools. (Responsibilities should be within the last 6-12 months)
Project Management and People Management experience

Preferred Skills:

Mortgage industry experience or financial/credit analysis
Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
Familiarity with project planning, risk management activities
5+ years of SQL, 4+ years - one or more BI tools (SAS, R, Microstrategy) programming experience
2+ years of Big Data/Hadoop experience
Experience working with JSON, XML and unstructured data
Experience with columnar databases

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS [note: bold skills and certification are required]
Tableau
SQL or other BI tools (SAS, R, or Microstrategy)

IDEAL CANDIDATE
