Position Overview/Responsibilities:


Candidate will be a Quality Assurance Manager and process leader within an IT project delivery team, responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Daily duties will include:
Review and continuously assess the quality of products delivered by the programs to the client; report delivery quality results to PDSI leaders using defined metrics

Act as an intermediary between project team writers and client readers of documentation deliverables. Assist the project team in client-oriented language.

Candidate will develop, implement, and lead key process improvement efforts and influences cross-functional efforts. Focus on the factors such as resources, methods, and materials that will improve key activities of the organization.

Adopt standardized QA tools; create new tools where needed and work toward universal adoption where appropriate. Help the project teams standardize processes and workflows; implement them across the team.
Continuously assess program adherence to and adequacy of established delivery processes; report process quality results to program delivery leaders.
Assess and report risks to program success indicated by quality delivery and process metrics, as observed through any QA activity. Develop plan and actions needed to address quality threats and opportunities.

The Quality Assurance Manager is a professional that will lead and champions process-improvement initiatives.
This manager should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk, and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges.
  • A key focus of this role is to interface with the Quality Assurance organization while championing Quality to the IT delivery team and leading them in cross-team QA efforts. Candidate will:
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews, analyzing data and documentation.
  • Develop and implement total quality management (TQM) programs and initiatives.
  • Assists in the development of systematic approaches for assuring high quality services.
  • Identifies the interface of key activities within and between the functions of the organization.
  • Participate in customer-facing activities, where appropriate, to ensure process and contract compliance, as well as assess and report program risk
  • Develop and deliver technical quality awareness training to the delivery team.
  • Foster, inspire, and motivate team members to focus on continual improvement of products, processes and systems.
    In areas within control, makes continual improvement of products, processes and systems.
  • Review all QA related customer facing documents prior to client acceptance
  • Participate in the installation and inspection of hardware equipment.
  • Provide quality reports to key management officials as requested.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to remote employees
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other related field
  • Candidate must have 4-6 years Quality Management/Supervisory or Leadership
  • Candidate may have experience in an ISO 9001 and/or CMMI Level 3 organization. Experience in leading that organization from a non-certified or lesser certification is a plus.
  • ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor (or similar) certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the IT or Transportation/Safety industry is a plus.
  • Competency in SharePoint 2013 workflow development and other SharePoint collaboration features a plus.
  • PMP certification and IT project management experience is a plus.
